Suanne Bone is the Executive Director of Our Sisters Keeper, Inc., a nonprofit founded by Brittany Davis and administered by Suanne, that advocates for women in the community jails, both during and after their time in the criminal justice system. The nonprofit currently serves the General Sessions and Criminal Courts in Smith County, with plans to serve the entire 15th Judicial District as resources become available. That includes women in Wilson, Trousdale, Macon and Jackson counties, as well.

Suanne graduated from Cumberland University in 1996 with a major in Social Science, minoring in Political Science. She graduated from South Eastern Paralegal Institute in 1997 and the Nashville School of Law in 2003.

Suanne’s work experience is as follows: she was a member of the Harold Ford, Jr. for U.S. Senate Finance team in 2006. From 2007 – 2011, she joined Governor Phil Bredesen’s administration as the liaison to the Department of Tourist Development. In 2011, Suanne was hired by the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers where she served six years as their Executive Director. Suanne joined the Tennessee District Public Defenders Conference in December of 2016 where she served as the Assistant Executive Director until August 2018, at which point she returned to Wilson County and served as the Community Relations Liaison to the Pavilion Senior Living in Wilson County, Tennessee, which was founded by her late father, Harold Gordon Bone, Sr., and currently administered by her brother, Harold (Hal) Gordon Bone, Jr.

In the Spring of 2020, Brittany approached Suanne regarding the prospect of founding Our Sisters Keeper. Since then, the two created the 501 ( c ) 3, with eleven active board members and 6 women participating the program.
